On March 7, community members gathered at Dixson Pickleball Club in Deerfield Beach for the Kyle and Jordyn Kelman Pickleball Tournament, a lively afternoon of friendly competition and generosity benefiting the children and families served by the Fuller Center.
Kyle and Jordyn Kelman, longtime volunteers and members of the Fuller Center’s Teen Leadership program, organized the event to support the classroom where they regularly volunteer as teen mentors. The tournament raised more than $12,300, enough to “adopt” the classroom and help provide resources and support for the children they work with each week.
The tournament sold out quickly, filling all team spots within just 48 hours. The strong response reflected the community’s enthusiasm for both the event and the Fuller Center’s mission. Spectators filled the courts throughout the afternoon, cheering on players and enjoying the energetic atmosphere as teams competed from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tournament results included:
Men’s Division
- Gold Medal: Neil Brauner and Brett Levkoff
- Silver Medal: Robert Eigen and Jeff Feinerman
- Bronze Medal: Anthony Sherwood and Craig Bondy
Women’s Division
- Gold Medal: Rachel Boyman and Stephanie Santiago
- Silver Medal: Paige Telan and Marilyn Perez
- Bronze Medal: Karen Bober and Alina Demirdjian
The tournament was hosted by Kyle and Jordyn Kelman, whose hands-on volunteer work with Fuller Center children inspired the event. Their passion for giving back helped bring the tournament to life, creating an opportunity for supporters to gather in a fun and meaningful way.
“Because of this incredible community, we raised $12,320 to benefit the kids at Fuller Center, where we have been volunteering since we were 14 years old,” said Kyle and Jordyn Kelman. “From the people who played in the tournament to those who bought raffle tickets, donated prizes, sponsored courts, helped organize, or simply came to cheer everyone on, you made the day unforgettable for us.”
Players of all skill levels participated, bringing enthusiasm and friendly competition to the courts. While the matches were exciting, the day’s impact extended far beyond the final scores. Every registration, sponsorship, and raffle ticket helped support programs and services that benefit Fuller Center children and families across Palm Beach and Broward Counties.
“We are incredibly proud of Kyle and Jordyn for the initiative and leadership they demonstrated through this event,” said Fuller Center CEO Eric Roby. “Fuller Center’s work is made possible by the support of our community, and seeing young leaders step forward to champion our mission is especially meaningful. Their efforts will directly support early childhood education for the children they mentor, helping ensure they have the strong foundation needed to succeed in school and in life.”
The Kyle and Jordyn Kelman Pickleball Tournament demonstrated the power of community engagement. By the end of the day, participants and spectators alike left knowing that their time on the court helped make a meaningful difference for the children and families at the heart of the Fuller Center’s mission to embrace, educate, and empower.
