Daughters of the American Revolution Donate American Flags for Fuller Center Classrooms

On Friday, February 27, 2026, the Fuller Center welcomed members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for a special morning visit to the organization’s campuses serving children and families in East and West Boca Raton. The event was created to thank the members who donated American flags to all Fuller Center classrooms, helping celebrate the country’s 250th birthday, Boca Raton’s 100th birthday and Fuller Center’s 55th birthday.

Lisa Talley, Director of Community Engagement for Fuller Centers, led the DAR group on a brief tour prior to the school’s morning assembly. The visit provided an opportunity for guests to see firsthand the nurturing and dynamic learning environment that supports children from infancy through high school and beyond.

During their visit, members of the Daughters of the American Revolution saw for the first time the donated American flags installed in all classrooms at both the East and West campuses. Thanks to this generous donation, more than 600 children now have the opportunity to recite the Pledge of Allegiance each day with a proper American flag displayed in their classroom.

Prior to the donation, not every classroom had a flag available for daily use. In some cases, printed images of the flag were used so students could still participate in the pledge. The DAR’s contribution ensures that every classroom now has a dedicated flag, strengthening the daily tradition for students and teachers alike.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Daughters of the American Revolution for their thoughtful and meaningful gift,” said Fuller Center CEO Eric Roby. “At the Fuller Center, we believe that education extends beyond academics. Helping children understand the importance of citizenship, respect, and community responsibility at an early age is an important part of our work. Having a flag in every classroom allows our students to begin each day by participating in a shared moment that reinforces those values.”

Following the tour, guests joined students, families, and staff for the school’s assembly. The morning was filled with energy and excitement as students and families gathered together for a dynamic recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

By the end of the morning, the members of the Daughters of the American Revolution left inspired by the enthusiasm of the students, the dedication of the staff, and the strong sense of community that defines the Fuller Center. Their gift of American flags will now serve as a daily reminder for hundreds of children of the importance of citizenship, unity, and respect—values that the Fuller Center strives to instill in every child it serves.
