Fuller Center honored its dedicated teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, held May 4–8, with a thoughtfully planned, travel‑themed celebration recognizing the vital role educators play in shaping student success across our campuses.
Throughout the week, teachers and staff enjoyed daily meals, themed décor, and moments of recognition as the celebration quite literally “traveled the world.” Shared spaces were transformed into welcoming environments inspired by global destinations, incorporating cultural elements from around the world to enhance the experience and create a sense of excitement each day.
The journey began on Monday, May 4, with Destination: Europe. Staff kicked off the week with a breakfast featuring coffee, tea, and an assortment of English and French pastries. On Tuesday, May 5, the celebration headed south for Destination: Mexico, where Taco Tuesday doubled as a Cinco de Mayo celebration. A festive taco bar was served, along with a special delivery of yellow roses coordinated by leadership.
Midweek festivities continued on Wednesday, May 6, with Destination: Italy, highlighted by pizza and breadsticks. Thursday, May 7, brought Destination: China, offering fried rice, dumplings and fortune cookies. The week concluded on Friday, May 8, with Destination: Hawaii, where staff enjoyed a relaxed breakfast in a tropical-inspired setting. From Chinese lanterns to leis paired with hula music, the themed décor helped bring each destination to life and reflect the culture behind the day’s cuisine.
In addition to the daily activities and meals, teachers were welcomed with thoughtful tokens of appreciation, including flowers and engraved keychains. With Teacher Appreciation Week immediately preceding Mother’s Day, Friday’s celebration also featured a Mother’s Day breakfast, bringing families and staff together to recognize the dedication and hard work of mothers both at home and in the workplace.
“Our teachers are the heartbeat of our organization. The passion, care, and enthusiasm they bring through our doors each day empower students of all ages to grow, blossom, and thrive. This week is dedicated to celebrating them and expressing our sincere gratitude for their hard work and unwavering dedication.”
