Will you be a Champion for a Child this summer?
Every year, Fuller Center serves more than 1100 kids, with summer camp being the busiest time. This summer, many of those kids will walk through our doors to attend summer camps for nine transformative weeks that could change the trajectory of their lives.
When you’re a Champion for a Child at Fuller Center, it’s more than just summer help; you’re helping to build a better future. Without support from the community, these deserving children would not have the opportunity to attend such a high-quality, transformative program.
Our Solution: Building Futures, One Summer at a Time
Starting June through August 1st, our comprehensive camp program will provide:
- Emergency Summer Literacy Program– Post pandemic, students need more help to perform at grade level. This summer, we’re launching a new literacy program to provide much-needed and specialized assistance.
- STEAM Learning- builds critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on Projects that teach real-world skills and boost confidence
- Exciting Field Trips- that expand horizons beyond their neighborhoods
- Nutritious Meals and Snacks- ensuring no child goes hungry
- Safe, Supervised Environment- giving parents peace of mind while allowing them to go to work without leaving their children at home unsupervised
The Challenge Our Families Face
Single mom Maria works two jobs to support her three children. When school ends, she’s left with an impossible choice: pay for expensive summer care she can’t afford, or leave her 8-year-old daughter unsupervised for 10 hours a day.
Maria’s story isn’t unique. Across our service area of 40+ zip codes, elementary-aged children are at risk of spending their summers in front of screens, falling behind academically, and missing crucial meals at school.
How You Can Build Their Future Today
- $2,500 – Summer Champion: Sponsors one child’s complete 9-week camp experience, including all activities, meals, and field trips
- $1,250 – Future Builder: Covers one-half of a child’s summer program, providing weeks of learning and growth
- $500 – Adventure Sponsor: Funds field trips and special activities that expand horizons for 5 children
- $250 – Learning Partner: Provides STEAM supplies and materials for hands-on learning for a full week
- $100 – Caring Friend: Ensures nutritious snacks and meals for one child for an entire week
- $50 – Creative Supporter: Supplies arts & crafts materials for multiple campers to express their creativity
